Clinical Experience Market

16 August 2019

For the first time, our ANU Psychology Society organised a 'Clinical Experience Market' on Thursday 15th August here at Kambri. They had over 100 psychology students attend, all excited by the idea of volunteering and working with clinical populations.

The initiative was to inform psychology students that clinical experience is required for entry into Clinical Programs at ANU. Not only that, ANUPS wanted to give students an opportunity to learn WHERE they can get clinical experience as well. Eight Canberra-based organisations generously donated their time to chat to students about their workplaces and what employees they are looking for.

Those who attended were: Lifeline Canberra, Kookaburra Kids, Aspire Early Intervention, Directions - Pathways to Recovery, Pegasus: Riding for the Disabled, Multiple Sclerosis Canberra, Mental Health Foundation, and Connections Programs. It's great to see so many of our students excited to work in our local community, and for the ANUPS continuing to organise important and engaging events for our students.

If you wish to become a member to attend other interesting events, please follow them on Facebook or Instagram to find out more!
