The prize is awarded to the student who achieved the best results in a laboratory report or assignment in a year one psychology course.

About the donor

This prize is named for Michael Cook who graduated in Psychology at the University of Manchester. He joined the ANU Department of Psychology in 1961 as a Senior Tutor and remained at ANU until he retired as Reader in Psychology in 1998. He was Head of Psychology between 1984 and 1990.
