About the donor
This prize is named for Dr Judy Slee, a graduate of ANU who received a University Medal for her undergraduate study and the J G Crawford Prize for her PhD thesis. As a member of staff of the School of Psychology, she taught cognitive psychology and history, and systems. She was Honours convener for 11 years and a long term representative of the School on the Faculty of Science Board, and of the Faculty of Science on the Faculty of Arts Board. She was also involved with Questacon and the Centre for the Public Awareness of Science, as academic coordinator of their joint gradate diploma program in Science Communication. Dr Slee retired in 2001 but maintained her association with the School of Psychology for many years as a visiting Fellow.
